We all know the economy is still weak now and many high end
restaurants sacrificed their portion and/or quality in order to reduce
price on their menu to attract their customers. I am very pleased to
tell you that despite the strong JPY to USD exchange rate. This place
still offers excellent Wagyu Beef, imported directly from Japan
(Kagoshima-ken) to be exact. Its not called "Kobe" beef because its
not raised in Kobe. Its the misconception that Japanese beef are
called Kobe Beef. Its actually called Wagyu Beef, and the steak house
actually served the TOP quality A-5 Wagyu Beef (In Japan, they ranked
steak from A5>A1, B5>B1, C5>C1, where A5 is the Best in terms of the
texture, color, and marbleness).

For the dinner, we ordered the Dinner Course Surf & Turf Choice A, and
the regular Surf & Turf and some appetizers to share.

Dinner Course Choice A comes with 2 Appetizers:
1. Scallop Capaccio with Shrimp: Scallop shipped by Hokkaido. So
Fresh! doesn't need any dressing at all. The nature sweetness of the
scallop is the gift of mother nature :) It beats many of those sushi
restaurant's "fresh" scallop hands down.
2. Marinated Foie Gras in Miso with fruit compote. Wow, are you
telling me this is foie gras? WOW its SOOO GOOD! I can't believe this
is not on the regular menu. Its soooo delicious. The type of good
food that brings smile on everyone's face as soon as it reaches your
palate. So tender, smooth and full of flavor!

now the beef:

Wagyu Filet Mignon Steak: How nice can it be? its very nicely
presented. Cooked light brown, medium rare. I wish I can order a big
chunk of filet mignon! oh my god...it really does melt in your mouth!
Dry Aged beef thats served in other big chain steakhouses are good
(Ruth's Chris, Flemings, Maestros, Mortons..etc) but this is brings to
another level. I recommend trying the steak with their home made
steak house (composes of Garlic, Onions and Vinaigrette). You will be
never wrong splurge a little and try the wagyu beef here!

Grilled Chilean Seabass: Marinated in Miso. Very tender and fresh,
another excellent choice if you don't eat steak.

Roasted Lobster with Mustard Sauce: It was also a very good chewy and
tasty lobster. Its comparable to those seafood specialty restaurant.

Dessert: Their house special creme brulee in ice cream form WOWed us
too! Never had it Cream Brulee in ice cream form! So good!
Furthermore, their Vanilla Bean Yugurt Ice cream with nature honey is
the BEST! Nature honey blended perfectly with yogurt ice cream, not
too sweet, not too sour, and with the aroma from the vanilla and
honey..how can I not wanted more?

After we finished our meal, we were all very satisfied, actually ,
beyond satisfied. I actually went to shook hand with the chef, Ryo to
thank him for providing us such an excellent meal. I think to refer
this place to those who really understands and appreciates food, pass
the information out and let more people to support their business is
the best thing to do for them to show my appreciation!

Now I know where to find a real good steak! I just hope they will not
raise the price so I can come back for more delicious steak!
